tips for translators and more

Do not accept to work on a translation 1. (too far) outside your field, 2. out of consideration that if you don't do it, no one will, and those looking for a translator (usually those you love and respect) will be in trouble.
Other jobs you may need to do, as a university lecturer, apart from the obvious teaching and researching: checking if the fourth-years have taken all that are required for them to graduate, checking if the Graduate School website contains the correct information about your MA curriculum.
